- Drop: Distance between the top or bottom of the lampshade up to the fitter.
- Fitter: Metal part that attaches the shade to the lamp. See the list here.
- Bracket: Metal part usually made from a piece of flat metal. It is used to attach the shade to the lamp or to support a diffuser. See the list here..
- Diffuser: A lens that diffuses the light below the shade. Usually found on suspended lampshades. It can be made of fabric or acrylic.
